(As of 4/6/04)April 10, 43 miles - From People's Republic of China Embassy, go north on Connecticut Ave, NW., which becomes SR 185 at D.C/Montgomery Co., Md. border. Continue on SR 185 north to the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, where SR 185 intersects with SR 97. Follow SR 97 (Georgia Ave) north through Howard Co., into Carroll Co., to the junction of SR 97 and SR 144, turn east (T/R) on SR144, follow it to SR32, turn north (T/L) on SR32, follow SR32 to SR 26, turn west (T/L) onto SR26, follow SR26 to SR97. STOP.
April 11, 60 miles - Follow SR 97 from the junction with SR 26 to E. Main St., located on the southeast side of Westminster, Md. Go northwest (T/L) on E. Main St. to Main St. until the intersection of Main St. and SR 97 (Pennsylvania St.), on the north side of Westminster. Follow SR 97 north into Adams Co., PA., to the intersection of SR 97 and US 30 in downtown Gettysburg, PA. Follow US 30 west into Franklin Co. STOP at Chambersburg, PA , approximately one mile past the US 81 overpass.
April 12, 31 miles - Follow US 30 from Chambersburg, PA, west into Fulton Co., to the village of Saluvia. STOP.
April 13, 29 miles - Follow US 30 from village of Saluvia into Bedford Co to the junction of US 30 and SR 56. STOP.
April 14, 13 miles - Follow US 30 west from the junction with SR 56 to the sign designating Lookout Point- Mt. Ararat- Elev. 2464. STOP. Prayers: Site of Flight 93 crash on 9/11 (time to be determined).
April 15, 11 miles - Starting at Lookout Point, proceed on US 30 into Somerset Co. Stay on US 30 until its junction with SR 403. STOP.
April 16, 7 miles - Follow US 30 from its junction with SR 403 to the junction of US 30 and SR 601. STOP.
April 17, 32 miles - Follow US 30 from its junction with SR 601 to the junction of US 30 and US119 near Greensburg, PA. STOP.
April 18, 54 miles - Follow US 30 from its junction with US 119 into Allegheny Co. until you reach the intersection of US 30 and Interstate 376/US 22, on the east side of Pittsburgh. At this intersection, follow SR 8 north from Pittsburgh into Butler Co. to the "Butler Welcomes You" sign on the border of the city of Butler. STOP.
April 19, 0 miles - Rest day in Butler, PA.
April 20, 77 miles - Follow SR 8 from the Welcome sign into Venango Co., to the intersection of SR 8 and US 62, on the west side of Oil City, PA. Take US 62 into Forest Co., to the junction of US 62 and SR 127. STOP.
April 21, 70 miles - Follow US 62 from its junction with SR 127 into Warren Co. At the intersection of US 62 North and US 6 East (west of Warren, PA), turn right (east) on US 6 and proceed to the junction of US 6 and Business 6. Turn left onto Business 6 and proceed to the intersection of Business 6 and US 62 North (on the north side of Warren). Turn north onto US 62 North and cross the PA/NY state line. Proceed through Chautauqua Co. and into Cattaraugus Co. until the junction of US 62 and SR 241. STOP.
April 22, 74 miles - Turn left at the junction of US 62 and SR 241 and follow US 62 north into Erie Co. and through the east side of Buffalo until the intersection of US 62 and E. Ferry St. Turn left (west) and follow E. Ferry St., it will become W.Ferry St. Follow W. Ferry St. west to its intersection with West Ave. Turn left (south) and go eight blocks on West Ave. to its intersection with Vermont St. Turn right and go three blocks on Vermont St. to its intersection with Niagara St. Turn left on Niagara St., go block on Niagara St. to its intersection with Porter Ave.,then turn left onto Porter Ave., go approx. 3.5 blocks west on Porter to the entrance of of Front Park. End of ride ceremony for a few of the riders. END OF DAYıS RIDE.
Canadian Leg of Ride
April 23, 70 miles - From the Peace Bridge, turn east onto Niagara Parkway. Follow the Niagara Parkway along the Niagara River to the Rainbow Bridge, located on the north end of the Niagara Falls Tourist area. At the intersection of Niagara Parkway and Lundyıs Lane (Hwy 20), make a severe left onto Lundyıs Lane and proceed on it while it becomes Hwy 20 all the way to the intersection of Hwy 20 and Barton St. Turn left (west) on Barton St. and go less than a mile to the junction of Barton St. and Woodward Ave., located on the northeast side of Hamilton, ON. STOP.April 24, 35 miles - Starting at dawn, follow Woodward Ave. about 1.5 miles north to where it goes under the QEW. Take the right fork which is Beach Blvd. Follow Beach Blvd across a lift bridge. Immediately after the lift bridge, Beach Blvd jogs to the right and becomes Lakeshore Road. Follow Lakeshore Rd to its junction with Hwy 2, just past Brant Memorial Hospital and near the Brant Museum. Take Hwy 2 north and east, it will be Lakeshore Blvd W. when it enters the lakefront area of the southside of Toronto. Proceed on Lakeshore Blvd. W. to Spadina Ave. Turn left (north) and go to Bloor Ave. Turn right (east) on Bloor Ave. to St. George St., where you turn right (south) and find the Chinese Consulate at 240 South George St. The riders must arrive at the consulate no later than noon, because the protest in front of the Chinese consulate starts at noon.
