OTHER
WAYS TO HELP:
1. Have
your organization support the Walk as a Cosponsor. Any way your organization
can contribute/support would be acceptable.
2. Assist with promotions and media coverage, including publishing
an announcement of this Walk in appropriate newsletters and mailings.
3. Download
our walk flyer and post it in different places!
4. Provide a link to our website (www.rangzen.org).
5. Walk with us for any amount of time!
6. Participate in the demonstration on June 27 and/or July 4.
7. Sponsor a walker. Ideally, we want more Tibetans on the walk then
Westerners. The core group of walkers will be about 15 people. Any
Tibetans that could be sponsored would be appreciated. We estimate
that it will cost about $350 to sponsor a walker. This includes, for
instance, the cost of renting a van, fuel, food, and other living
expenses.
8. Sponsor meals for the walkers each day ($10 per walker or $150
for all the walkers each day).
9. Arrange housing (floor space is definitely OK) along the route
for about 15 people.
10. Arrange presentations at educational institutions and/or community
groups along the route.
11. Contribute $5 for each day of the walk ($40 total).
12. Contribute $1 (U.S. currency) for each mile of the walk or $100
(100 miles) to cover all the miles!
13. Contribute any amount of money you can afford. Please note that
the operating budget is $10,000.
14. Download
a pledge sheet and sign people up to sponsor walkers.
15. Coordinate your own March for Tibet's Independence--even a one-day
event.
