The
Kurukulla Tibetan Buddhist Center
(Medford, MA) community and local Tibetans provided a feast of a potluck
for us in the Center's serene meditation garden. Many connections and
new friends were made over dinner. We are so grateful for the Center's
hospitality and for the support of the local Tibetan community.

After dinner,
we gathered within the Temple to get to know one another better and
to share our reasons for participating in the walk. The Venerable Palden
Gyatso started off the session and his message was so inspiring that
he even convinced one local Tibetan youth (Tenzin Tseten) to join the
walk for the entire 2 weeks (and only less than 12 hours before the
first day began)! Once all the introductions were finished, we slept
soundly and comfortably, but alas, not very long, as we awoke the next
day at 5:45am.
