June 14

In search of Kundun

Quite a few locals joined us for our walk on Wednesday, June 14. We made our way through Ventura and into Oxnard today.

The South Walk has made the Los Angeles Times several times already, but our first opportunity came today. A photographer found us first thing and a reporter came at lunchtime. We ended up with large spread with several photos in the Ventura edition the next day and a feature photo in the L.A. edition.

In the evening we were again invited for dinner. This time we went to the home of Michael and Carole Wilson in Westlake. They live way up on a hill overlooking the city in a" very nice neighborhood. Michael produced a documentary called "In Search of Kundun," which is a story about the making of the feature-length film Kundun.

So after we ate we watched his film. It was excellent and a nice break for us.
