Day 8 - August 1

Today was our only day not walking. We moved today from Elkhorn to the Unitarian Universalist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We will miss Elkhorn a lot. The people were extremely supportive, kind, and informed about Tibet. They went all out to take care of us. We were particularly appreciative of our host family including Lori, Chris, and Nick who took great care of us. Ashley left today to return to Indiana. We will miss her! In the evening, we were hosted to a pitch in dinner by the Unitarians and Methodists in Kenosha. We prepared thenthuk to share with the others. After dinner, we showed the brief version of Palden-la's documentary, "Fire Under the Snow." Those in attendance were quite moved by Palden-la's story and they raised many good questions and observations.
